“Staycation”

During the week our daughter is at summer camp, my husband and I have decided to have a Staycation. An at-home vacation. This way we don’t have to pay someone to care for everything while we’re gone and we can enjoy our home, just the two of us, for a few days. We even asked the 20 year old to go stay with his sister for the week.

We could have chosen to eat out, go to museums or the beach and generally be tourists in our home town but we didn’t. We stayed right here, on the homestead, and enjoyed one another’s company, working together on little things and some doing-nothing, movie-watching downtime.

So far it’s been fabulous.
