A Happy Christmas

What’s there left to say about Christmas? Maybe some small record of our doings and that’s all.

Christmas was wonderful. Our family expanded to include two girlfriends in the festivities. Things at Dad’s house were over-the-top and awesome, as usual. We ate turkey, collards, and all that stuff. We all gave, received and made merry. There’s even a manger on our Advent table with a tiny baby Jesus in it, in honor of–and as a reminder of–the true spirit of Christmas. It’s not about money or things or giving or getting, what we try to remember is that Christmas is about sharing and spreading the light. In a family as dark as ours, that’s a much needed reminder.
