In thinking of a contingency plan, my best idea is just this: ‘Be’. If that means death and decay, then so be it. Survival isn’t just about me, it’s about those who come after, whose world will be nourished by my ashes, whose roots will take hold of my bones and whose leaves will take that nourishment into the light.
