Smitten Kitchen’s Buttermilk Ice Cream

This yumminess looks a bit different in my pic because I used raw sugar and eggs from our laying flock but my god! This is good, good stuff. As you can see, M couldn’t keep from sticking her finger into the ice cream freezer! 

I found SK via PW...The Pioneer Woman, that is. She also has some great recipes.
Note: once it was frozen, the ice cream was much paler than when it was freezing. Also, my son mentioned that it tastes a lot like cheesecake.
