The girls and I had fun yesterday. We took care of the animals and went for a swim. I asked if they wanted to celebrate by making wreaths for our heads and cooking round food. Both Aleia and Martina thought it was a great idea. Martina suggested home-made, veggie pizza. I started the crust while they did a little art project from the Bright Ring website. I was motivated to look after author, Mary Ann Kohl commented on Shez’s blog.
We cut fresh herbs and flowers and made wire forms to fit out heads and then attached the greenery with yellow (sun colored) yarn. I painted the girl’s faces and Mark took some pictures of us. We made personal pizzas. While Mark and I were eating our we noticed that Martina was outside…she galloped past the window in a red and white seersucker dress, her fairy wreath on her head, ribbon streaming behind her and a crab net in her hands…in front of her ran a herd of ducks. Eventually, after we choked on our pizzas and performed mutual Heimlich’s, she netted one.
